It is the most famous variety of Casillero del Diablo. Its 2005 Vintage was awarded by Decanter as the best of the planet. It owns an intense cherry and plum bouquet, with vanilla and toast finishes. Is one of the red varieties with full wine in mouth, elegant and ideal to match beef in pepper sauce.
Soil: Riverbench, benchland and hillside associated soils
Aging: 60% aged in small American oak barrels during 8 months
Color: Beautiful and lively ruby red colour with brilliant hues
Aroma: The expression of cassis in this wine perfectly represents the Valle Central and its richness in fruit such as cherries and plums. The barrel ageing length thanks to the toast and coffee notes
Taste: Initially it shows its structure due to the strong tannins that ends elegant and juicy. The fruit flavours are confirmed by the long and elegant after taste which is balanced in the barreling process
Food Pairing: Red meat, lamb ribs and stews with good presence of spices
