Tablica ogłoszeń - Sprzedam Saint Emilion, rzadki rocznik 1995

07.04.2019 10:47

Witam, mam na sprzedaż Saint Emilion widoczny na zdjęciach. Nawiazałem kontakt z winnicą oto co napisali o moim winie i swojej historii :
Please find attached the technical sheet of Château es Cabanes. As you can see, it is writed that the chateau has been bought in 1997 by Peter Kjellberg and his wife, but not founded… So this chateau was existing before this date..

I can see on the picture you sent me that the name of the old owner appear on the label : M. Jacques Alard.

FYI, I have asked the current owner, he explained me that the vineyard is 100 years old… The only other thing that he is able to say me it is that M. Gras has sold Chateau les Cabanes to M. Alard in 1995 and then Peter kjellberg has bought the chateau in 1997…
So the oldest owner we know is M. Gras but we don’t have the first production date for chateau Les Cabanes…
I hope these informations gonna help you…
Have a good day.
Best regards.
Charlotte
Ownership & history:
Toronto-born winemaker Peter Kjellberg
trained at the University of Bordeaux and
went on to work at Château Haut Brion. In
1997, Peter, along with his wife and fellow
winemaker, Brigitte, decided to buy a
property, Château Les Cabannes. The
Kjellbergs produce a Saint Emilion Grand
Cru, a straight Saint Emilion and a small
amount of AOP Bordeaux.
Vineyard & location:
Next door to Château Monbousquet, this is
something of a boutique estate - just 7
hectares of vines are planted. Nonetheless,
it can be divided into two distinct parts.
There is a hilltop of deep gravel soil with
vines that are 45 years old, and lower down
there are younger vines (replanted when
the Kjellbergs arrived) that grow in siliceous
clay soil with iron deposits.
Harvest, vinification & ageing:
The Kjellbergs tend to the vines manually
year-round, and naturally the grapes are
picked by hand. Vinification is carried out in
a mix of stainless steel and concrete vats
and ageing is carried out in oak barrels for 1
year.
Tasting:
Vibrant, fresh, clean, fruity, and very
approachable for those who prefer a more
modern style of Merlot.
Blend:
90% Merlot
10% Cabernet Franc
