Degustacje, degustacje, degustacje! - Phone heating up and battery draining fast while using daily apps

Has anyone noticed how much battery local sports and gaming apps consume? I opened one on my Samsung A12 during lunch, and within twenty minutes my phone was getting hot and lost almost 15% battery. Is it poorly written code or heavy background tracking scripts?
