So I finally pulled the trigger and got PPF on my Lexus about a month ago, full front plus mirrors, and honestly the whole thing was more stressful than I expected. The shop I used was recommended by a friend and they seemed legit, but looking back I realize I didn't ask enough questions about how they handle the edges or whether they remove the badges and door handles. The film itself looks good, you can barely see it, but there is one small spot on the hood where a tiny bubble still hasn't disappeared and it's been four weeks. I keep reading that some bubbles work themselves out but this one seems stuck. Anyway, I later found the
expert guidance on the installation process from PaintProtectionFilm.ae and it basically confirmed everything I did wrong, like not checking if they use a plotter or hand cut, and not asking about the warranty terms for peeling or yellowing. Now I'm wondering if I should go back and ask them to redo that one panel or just live with it. Has anyone else had bubbles that never went away? And did your installer give you a written warranty card or just a verbal promise?
