My 2016 Wrangler is due for its 90k service and I've got a few small things bugging me, a squeak from the front end over speed bumps, the AC taking a bit longer to cool, and a slow leak from the diff that leaves a tiny spot on the driveway. Nothing catastrophic but I'd rather deal with it before it becomes a bigger problem. The dealer quoted me a number that made me laugh out loud, so I started looking around. A buddy mentioned a place in Mussafah that does
Certified Jeep maintenance and minor repairs and said they're way more reasonable, but I'm a bit skeptical because I've never heard of them and I don't want to hand my keys to just anyone. Has anyone used a certified independent shop for small jobs like this? Did they actually fix the little stuff or did they try to turn it into a major repair? And is there any real difference between a certified shop and a regular garage for minor stuff like bushings and AC? Just trying to figure out if it's worth the drive or if I should just suck it up and pay the dealer.
